The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
